Meet Cammy: Lifestyle Family Photographer in Auckland, New Zealand

Hi, I’m Cammy!

My journey to becoming a photographer has been a story shaped by places, people, and a passion for capturing memories. I was born in Vietnam and raised in Germany, where I received my first camera at just 11 years old—a gift that sparked a lifelong love for photography. From then on, my camera came everywhere with me, whether I was gathering friends for impromptu photoshoots or experimenting on my own. I loved learning from others, and over the years, I began to see the world through the lens in new and creative ways.

Years later, after moving to New Zealand with my family, I rediscovered photography with a fresh perspective. During a six-month road trip across New Zealand, my partner, Ben, encouraged me to consider photography as more than a passion—to start a business and combine my love for photos with my role as a full-time mother. With his support, I took the leap, envisioning a path where I could balance caring for our daughter, Fae, with doing something I truly loved.

Becoming a mother changed how I saw photography. The desire to “freeze time” and hold onto fleeting moments became stronger than ever, as I wanted to capture every little detail and milestone. I realized that family photography, especially for mothers, is invaluable. Mums are often behind the camera, capturing everyone else, so it’s become my mission to get them in front of the lens with their children. My sessions are all about creating authentic, natural photos that reflect the unique connections within each family.

Now, as a lifestyle family photographer in Auckland, New Zealand, I focus on relaxed, genuine sessions that capture the heart of family life. Whether we’re exploring a favourite local spot or making memories at home, my goal is to give you beautiful, timeless photos you’ll treasure and revisit for years to come.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my story! If you’re interested in capturing meaningful moments with your family, I’d love to connect.
