There’s something bittersweet about the end of summer—the golden light lingers a little longer, the air carries the first whispers of autumn, and nature puts on one last spectacular show. For this beautiful family, the final weekend of sunflower season at Franklin Farm in Waimauku was the perfect setting for a joyful, love-filled photoshoot.

The day was full of surprises. Strong winds swept through the fields, adding a sense of movement and playfulness. A sudden downpour had us running for cover, only for the sun to return moments later, making the raindrops on the petals glisten like tiny crystals. The ever-changing weather only made the experience more magical, giving us a mix of dramatic skies, soft golden hues, and fresh, rain-kissed blooms.

Through it all, the family embraced every moment—laughing as the wind tousled their hair, stealing warm hugs between the gusts, and watching their little one race through the towering sunflowers with pure delight.
